According to data of the Statistics Department of Estonia, in November 2024 year exports of goods increased compared with the same month of the last year by 3%, while imports remained at the old level. Goods in current were exported by about 1.6 billion euros and imported by about about 1.7 billion euros. The goods-exchange deficit was 166 million euros, which was 53 million euros fewer than the year earlier.Analyst of foreign trade Department of Statistics Jane Leppmets explained, that in November the volume of exports of goods of Estonian production increased by 6%, while re-exports decreased by 2%. “The share of Estonian manufactured goods in the total volume of exports increased in November by two percentage points, to 66%. The most exported in November were
electrical equipment, and also wood and wood products, ” Leppmets noted. Of the goods in November the most exported electrical equipment (16% of the total volume of exports), agricultural products and food (14%), as well as wood and wood products (11%). Compared with the same month of 2023 year the most increased exports from Estonia of agricultural products and food (by 29 million euros), wood and wood products (by 17 million euros), as well as vehicles (by 15 million euros). Most of all, a by 27 million euros, exports of mineral products decreased.
In November Goods were most exported to Finland (15% of total exports), Latvia (11%) and Lithuania (9%). To Finland most exported electrical equipment, to Latvia -mineral products and vehicles, and to Lithuania – vehicles. The most increased exports of goods to the United States of America (by 23 million euros), where more than in the last year, electrical equipment was imported. Silverest of all were reduced exports to Singapore (by 30 million euros), where less mineral products were exported. In November the most
imported vehicles (16% of total imports), electrical equipment (14%), and agricultural products and food (13%). In year-on-year comparison the most increased imports of vehicles (by 67 million euros), electrical equipment (by 19 million euros), and agricultural products and food (by 14 million euros), and also. Most of all, a by 74 million euros, the import export of mineral products decreased. The main partners of Estonia in imports in November 2024
were Finland (14% of total import volume), Latvia (12%) and Germany (11%). From Finland and Latvia most imported mineral products, and from Germany – vehicles. In the year the most increased imports of goods from Sweden (by 40 million euros), from where the most imports of vehicles were made. The most significantly decreased imports from Lithuania (by 43 million euros), where less mineral products were purchased than in the last year.
