For another day in a row, wheat fell in price on both sides of the Atlantic, and corn prices ended in mixed moods. The stock exchanges are closed in the US today – Independence Day.
Wheat on MATIF fell by almost 2 percent
Wheat in the September delivery contract on MATIF fell by 1.7% yesterday. and cost EUR 223.25/t (PLN 960/t), and on a y/y basis the prices dropped by 4.3%. The price of corn on the Paris Stock Exchange in the August contract fell by 1.3%. and amounted to EUR 209.25/t (PLN 900/t), and over the last year it decreased by 11.1%.
Only corn prices on CBOT increased
Wheat on CBOT fell by 1.2% in the July contract. and cost USD 203.74/t. On a y/y basis, the prices fell by 16.3%. The price of corn in the July delivery contract on the Chicago Stock Exchange increased by 0.4%. and amounted to USD 158.85/t, and over the last year it decreased by 26.4%.
