The tender announced by the Government Strategic Reserve Agency is for the sale of frozen butter in 25-kg blocks. In total, the Agency wants to sell about 1,000 tons of this product. The minimum selling price for butter is PLN 28.38/kg (excluding VAT). The opening of bids related to the tender will take place on December 19, 2024.
RARS launches reserves. It’s all about butter
The butter sold by RARS comes from the agency’s food reserves. These reserves are being established to maintain the continuity of supplies necessary for the functioning of the economy and to meet the basic needs of citizens.
RARS’ intervention should help stabilize butter prices on the market.
The sale will take place by task:
Task no. 1: frozen butter in the amount of 497 tons – produced by the MLEKOVITA Dairy Cooperative
Task no. 2: 300 tons of frozen butter – produced by the Foreign Trade Company of Dairy Cooperatives “LACPOL”
Task No. 3: 200 tons of frozen butter – produced by Polmlek Grudziądz
Early butter, 10 PLN per cube
Butter prices in Poland have recently attracted consumer attention. In some stores, you can pay even close to PLN 10 for a cube of butter, which is a significant increase compared to previous years.
From the data of the price basket of Dlahandlu.pl, it follows that the average price of extra 200 g butter in popular chains currently costs PLN 8.65 compared to PLN 5.74 in 2023, an increase of as much as PLN 2.91.
