The organisers of the competition for the KGW "Battle of the Regions" are: the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the National Support Centre for Agriculture and the National Institute of Rural Culture and Heritage.
"Battle of the Regions" is a unique opportunity to showcase the culinary skills of the competition participants and to promote local dishes, culture and folk traditions. After fierce eliminations and provincial semi-finals, the 16 best Circles took part in the national final.
The winner was KGW Noskowo-Radomice-Strzyżewo "Feniks" (Greater Poland Voivodeship), which prepared goose with blackcurrant wine sauce and red cabbage.
Second place was taken by KGW Jaktorów "Jaktorowskie Turzyce" (Masovian Voivodeship) for pheasant broth with dumplings stuffed with pheasant and deer.
Third place went to KGW in Durąg (Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship) for their goose stew.
