Three weeks have passed since the strongest storm in Latvia's history. Insurance companies have already received 8,366 claims for 17.2 million euros. The amount and number of claims will grow, because, firstly, victims continue to apply for compensation, and secondly, it is impossible to assess the damage in one day – you need to wait until the water recedes, calculate the losses, and make an estimate for repairs. Over the past week, the number of claims has increased by about a thousand. In some cases, the amount of compensation to individuals goes "well" over 50 thousand euros.
From luxury cars to fields. What did insurers pay out the biggest compensation for after the storm?
