ECO market opened its first barrier-free store in Ukrainka
As RAU was informed by the retailer's press service, the market has an area of 820 sq. m resumed work after a deep renovation. This included a complete refurbishment of the store's exterior and interior design, improved store logistics and the installation of energy-efficient refrigeration equipment, a generator and self-service checkouts. An important aspect of the renovation was the introduction of inclusive and barrier-free solutions: a new ramp, contrasting tiles, internal shopping rows 1.2 meters wide, which makes them convenient for movement on wheeled chairs. According to ECO Market President Inna Miroshnichenko , this year it is planned to overhaul 13 stores of the chain.
A new Fozzy hypermarket has opened in Krivoy Rog
The new store opened its doors to customers on August 3 in Krivoy Rog at 33 Vecherny Boulevard. The hypermarket has an area of 6,466 sq. m. m became the ninth operating store in the chain. It could have been an anniversary event if it had not been for the missile strike on Odessa a year ago, which completely destroyed the hypermarket there. Fozzy hypermarkets are wholesale and retail stores operating in the cash and carry format. The area of the stores is 6000-10,000 sq. m, with an assortment of more than 50,000 SKUs. Fozzy hypermarkets operate in the following cities: Kyiv, Kharkov, Kremenchug, Rivne, Dnepr, Krivoy Rog. In Odessa and its suburbs, only grocery delivery is available. The order can be made both on the website and through the mobile application.
The Silpo chain opened a new designer supermarket in Poltava
On August 2, in Poltava, in the new block of the Kyiv shopping and entertainment complex (Pavlenkovskaya Square, 3), another Silpo designer supermarket opened, designed in the style of petroglyphs – ancient images on stone that were abandoned by primitive people. The store has an area of 1452 sq. m is now located at a new address, because it moved from the neighboring block of the Kyiv shopping center, which was on Zinkovskaya Street, 6/1. Development of cooperation between MVM My Home and Silpo
On August 3, in the Silpo supermarket, located in the RayON shopping center (Kiev, Nikolay Lavrukhina Street, 4), an MVM My Home retail outlet opened in the shop-in-shop format. Here visitors will be able to purchase household goods: textiles, kitchen utensils, bathroom accessories and decor. The first shop-in-shops were opened in the Lavina Mall and Arcadia shopping centers. The Fora network has rebranded
Fora, a chain of grocery stores close to home, which has been operating on the Ukrainian market for more than 20 years and has more than 340 stores, has carried out a rebranding in partnership with the creative agency Taktika. In particular, new brand elements were developed for all communication channels – from shop windows to social networks. The logo was updated in such a way that it did not lose recognition and it was possible not to change signs throughout the network at the same time. Marketers also “refreshed” the main colors of the network – green and red and added new ones – purple, yellow and blue. In addition, at the beginning of August, the chain opened a Fora Express store in Kyiv on the street. For the first half of 2024, ATB Corporation paid taxes and fees in the amount of UAH 13.26 billion
During the first six months of 2024, the ATB group of companies has already paid taxes and fees in the amount of UAH 13.26 billion. This is UAH 1.25 billion more than last year’s figure of UAH 12.01 billion. As RAU was informed by the company's press service, of the indicated amount of taxes and fees paid by ATB for the first half of this year, UAH 8.68 billion went to the state budget, local budgets received UAH 3 billion, and UAH 1.58 billion was sent to trust funds. In fact, ATB-Market LLC paid taxes and fees totaling UAH 10.22 billion. The state budget received a contribution of UAH 6.52 billion from the largest Ukrainian network, UAH 2.48 billion in taxes and fees were paid to local budgets, and UAH 1.22 billion was paid to trust funds.
Auchan Ukraine network begins importing electricity for its own shopping centers
To ensure uninterrupted production processes, the Auchan Ukraine network began importing electricity from July 26. First of all, the capital's shopping center, which is directly owned by Auchan Ukraine, is connected – the Auchan Rive Gauche hypermarket (Zdolbunovskaya St., 17) and other own retail facilities are next in line.
Fayno market summed up the results of the second quarter of 2024
The Central Ukrainian retailer Fayno Market on its official website published information about the company’s activities in the second quarter of 2024. The chain reported that during the period from April to July of this year it increased by 9 retail outlets with a total area of almost 3,000 square meters. m and paid taxes in the amount of UAH 165.9 million. Four years of work M'yasomarket
The company summed up its work over four years. M'yasomarket stores appeared on the Ukrainian market in 2020. They were launched by MHP, an international food and agricultural technology company, together with its franchisee partners. The first M'yasomarket opened on July 17, 2020 in Kovel. By July 2024, the M'yasomarket chain had expanded to more than 280 stores operating in 22 regions of Ukraine and not only in large cities, but also in towns and villages. Polish chain Żabka may enter the Warsaw Stock Exchange with a valuation of $7.5-8 billion
Bloomberg reported plans by the owner of the Żabka minimarket franchise, the American fund CVC Capital, to conduct an IPO of the Polish chain of convenience stores. And the Polish publication Bankier published the latest data on Żabka’s results and its plans for the future. As Forbes.ua reports, citing foreign media, the Warsaw Stock Exchange is likely preparing for the largest public offering of shares in Poland in recent years. It is expected that the largest Polish chain of minimarkets (more than 10,000 points) will be valued at $7.5-8 billion, and its IPO will attract $1-1.5 billion.
A new modern SPAR supermarket has opened in Volyn
At the beginning of August 2024, a new supermarket of the international SPAR chain opened in the village of Boratin in Volyn. Here you can buy everything you need: from baked goods to ready-made meals. The store is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. at the address: Boratin, st. Central, 15. The chain of self-service stores Glove, which is part of the trading and production company Lvovkholod and operates mainly in western Ukraine, has opened a new outlet in the village. Prilbichi (Sheptytskogo st., 20) and a renovated store at st. Chernovola, 105.
The capital's Kolo chain, operating in the convenience store format, has expanded into two locations. In particular, new stores began to operate in Kyiv on the street. Samoila Koshki, 10/1 and at st. Yulia Zdanovskaya, 54.
