The United Arab Emirates airline flydubai has abandoned plans to launch flights between Dubai and the Baltic capitals, including Riga, this fall, said Ilze Salna, a spokesperson for Riga Airport. Flights on the Riga-Dubai route were supposed to start on October 11 and be operated three times a week. She explained that the decision was made because the delivery of new Boeing aircraft from the manufacturer is delayed, and the airline cannot specify when exactly it plans to launch flights. All passengers who have purchased tickets for flydubai flights are urged to contact the airline or travel agency where they were purchased. At the same time, the Latvian national airline airBaltic continues to operate flights from Riga Airport on the Riga-Dubai route – three times a week in the summer season and five times a week in the winter season.
