The international network of car service centers Fit Service analyzed the dynamics of large checks for car repairs in 2024. According to the results of the first half of the year, their number increased by 30% when compared with the same period last year.

The analytical service grouped all car arrivals in the first half of the year by the amount of checks for car repairs and maintenance in order to find out which group showed the greatest growth dynamics. Thus, car arrivals with a zero average bill and an amount of up to 5 thousand rubles decreased year on year by 15% and 11%, respectively. But at the same time, the share of visits to service stations with a small cost budget is still the largest.
Visits that cost car owners 5–10 thousand rubles increased by 2.7%. The group of those who paid 10–20 thousand rubles for repairs to their car also grew – by 10.5%. However, the greatest dynamics were shown by car drive-ins with an average bill of more than 20 thousand rubles. This group grew by 30% year on year.
“The share of large checks for vehicle repairs and maintenance increased significantly in 2024. This trend can be explained by several reasons. The operating vehicle fleet in Russia has been rapidly aging for several years in a row. Repairs are becoming more complex and require more time and knowledge. The number of standard hours and spare parts per check has increased . People strive to extend the life of their old cars, invest in their performance and repair major components. We can suggest that in the coming year the trend will continue: the number of small, inexpensive repairs will decrease, and more expensive ones will increase,” said Tatyana Ovchinnikova, director of the international franchising network of car service centers Fit Service .
