The Head Inspectorate of Veterinary Medicine has confirmed the first focus of flu birds in Poland in 2025 year. Remember, that in last year a almost 50 focuses of HPAI were confirmed. The last of these appeared in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie
province at the end of December.

New focus of flu birds in the Lodz province
As results from information posted on the website of the Head Inspectorate of Veterinary Medicine, 1. focus HPAI in Poland in 2025 year. confirmed on 08.01.2025 year in a commercial farm in Malków, in the municipality Warta, in Sieradz county, in Lodz province. W this farm held 4 484 poultry of different species.
A new focus of influenza birds has been identified of subtype virus of influenza birds H5N1.
This is the first outbreak reported in Sieradz county,
and also in Lodz province, since February 2024 . In last year in this county two focuses of
HPAI were identified.
