Kuit noted that Vitsur emphasized the change in global conditions and the need for a new economic policy: “The world has changed dramatically, protectionism is gaining strength, and economic policy must change.” He also expressed concern that the Estonian economy has shown weak growth since the financial crisis: “After the crisis, we grew by three percent per year, and now we are falling by one to one and a half percent. We are deviating from the previous trend by five percent every year, and this looks terrible,” Kuit conveyed his thoughts from the interview.
