The confirm unfortunately the reports, which we heard yesterday from some meat plants. The German Association VEZG has decided to first since 22 October change the recommended price of fatters. Unfortunately – as was expected, not this is a change for plus. The result of today’s session was by 10 euro cents lower than the previous price, which means that the recommended price of fat fell from 1.92 to 1.82 euro per kilogram.
It is worth adding, that this is the lowest rate since June 2022 year.
Converted in to national currency (according to euro rates from today: 1 EUR = 4.27 PLN) is 7.77 £ per kilogram. The German rate even after today’s reduction is clearly higher than the domestic rate: according to our yesterday survey, for fattening in class E Polish factories paid about 7.55 £/kg.
Looking mathematically, today’s reduction of prices in Germany should translate into a small decrease of prices in domestic stores. By considering the current rate of euro movement tu by 40 – 45 gr. per kilogram. However, it is worth considering the fact, that by much the previous rate on VEZG has been since the second half of October, that in that same time national prices dropped by 50 groats on average. Before today’s reduction the domestic tuition in class E was cheaper than German by 15 euro cents (approx. 60 – 65 pence). It is worthwhile, that
companies take this fact into consideration when setting prices for the next week.
