- Farmers from the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship are organizing help for flood victims in the form of transport of products needed for breeding.
- Next week, fodder, feed grains, straw, hay and silage will be delivered to the Kłodzko Valley.
- The campaign was announced less than 24 hours ago and several carloads of donations have already been collected.
Information about the collection spread by word of mouth and brought immediate results.
Looking at this great tragedy that is still happening in the south, we decided to organize a collection in kind – says Grzegorz Majewski, coordinator of the campaign, in an interview with Farmer. – We posted this information on local groups that were created during the spring protests and the response is huge.
Farmers collect various types of products, mainly intended for farm animals, i.e. all types of feed, feed grains, hay, haylage and straw.

Farmers unite to help flood victims
The interest in helping farmers is huge
The coordinators partially provide transport themselves, but they also have many applications from companies willing to provide their cars free of charge and thus support the collection.
We also collect all kinds of other donations. Whether it's water, drinking water, or food, all the basic necessities – adds Grzegorz Majewski in an interview with the editorial office. – Even the smallest help is very welcome and we are very happy with every little help.
By the end of the week, the farmer collects information about who, how much and what is able to offer as assistance.
We are also waiting for precise information on where we will have to deliver it – he added in an interview with the editorial office. – We want to allocate this aid primarily as targeted aid, i.e. as direct aid to specific farms.
– We are talking to colleagues from the south, with farmers from the south of the country, who will help us choose such places. We have asked for help from regional ODRs and Agricultural Chambers to help us choose the most affected farms – he adds.
The response to the appeal for help is very large. Everyone is eager to share their crops to help the affected farmers, even in a small part.
At the moment we have declared about three trucks of straw, silage and hay, we also have declared two trucks of grain of all kinds – enumerates Grzegorz Majewski in an interview with the editorial office. – People call us who buy ready-made animal feed and this feed is in stores, put aside and at the moment when we will prepare these transports, we will drive up, take, take and deliver to where it is needed most – he adds.
The collection is still ongoing. The transport with the items will reach the Kłodzko Valley next week.
Products are collected in pallet forms, preferably, so that they can be loaded onto a truck and so that all kinds of goods can arrive – Grzegorz Majewski informs the editorial office. – All of these things were collected in almost 24 hours. From Monday, we want to transport all of these products to several places, so that the trucks that arrive can be loaded at one point and we want to leave on Wednesday at the latest. We have information that at the moment the situation there is still very difficult, so this next week as a time to deliver these gifts is definitely better than quickly at this moment, because many of the most affected places simply cannot be reached yet.

Farmers want the aid to reach specific places
This is not yet the last word from farmers from Warmia and Mazury.
We keep getting calls, people keep declaring their help. It's very, very encouraging that people, despite the hard times, want to help, help and share what they have – Grzegorz Majewski sums up in an interview with the editorial team.
The aid being organised is primarily in the form of material aid, although many people are already declaring payments for the purchase of the most necessary items.
People declare that they will transfer money to us for fuel, specifically for transport, but at the moment we have declared companies that want to support us – he adds. – First, we will focus on material aid, which will actually reach those most in need.
