Farmers want to help flood victims
The scale of the damage caused by the flood in the south-western part of Poland is simply indescribable. The southern counties of the Lower Silesian and Opole provinces suffered the most. At the same time, the full scale of the damage is yet to be assessed. It may be even worse than it seems now, especially since there is still a risk that the flooding will also affect other locations (e.g. Wrocław is still before the peak wave, large amounts of water are also threatening Opole). Many families have lost their entire life's possessions and it is difficult to compare anything with such a tragedy. At the same time, huge losses concern farms in places affected by the flood.
Farmers from different parts of the country are organizing help. Facebook groups already have many posts about help for farmers affected by the flood.

Damaged feed, fertilizers, seed material
There are reports from flooded areas that some farms have nothing to feed their animals with – silage, hay and straw have been damaged. High density of livestock farming is present in Głogówek in the south of Opole Province, but not only there. If possible, you can also help in the form of feed. The damage also concerns means of production – cereal seed and fertilizers have been destroyed in many farms. Many farmers have already indicated their willingness to help in various forms. Some are asking for addresses, they are able to provide seed. Others indicate that they can give away part of their own feed supplies.

At the same time, it is important that the aid is piloted – then it will certainly reach where it is needed, and at the same time it will be adapted to the actual needs. Aid is also organized by municipalities, which is primarily aimed at clothing, personal hygiene products, blankets, food, water. It is therefore worth reporting to your local offices, or checking (including on social media) who and where is organizing aid, also for farmers.
Every bit of help counts, even the smallest. The situation is not easy in the entire industry, and with the losses caused by the great flood, it is downright dramatic.
