Rolnik to jest zawód nieprzewidywalny. Echa protestu

These problems are increasing more. But the first place is pronounced by bureaucracy, an uncertain future, where the political situation reflects on the condition of economies, and also increasing legal requirements, with simultaneous decreasing consumption of productive resources, which automatically translates into

lower competitiveness.

Will from agriculture keep my family? Doubts about the future

Beet sugar for a moment will be paid

Przemysław Pokorski came to Warsaw to protest from the Kujawsko-Pomorskie province, to show on the day of the inauguration of the Polish Presidency of the Council of the European Union problems of agriculture. Not only this Poland, but more broadly – European.

– Agreement with countries of South America so-called. Mercusor has been negotiated for twenty five years, and now in a moment may come in to life. I think, that the people, who are signing, don’t until finally know the whole content. It has probably over 1000 pages, yes, so I don’t know, do they know about all the records, which are there – says our interviewer. Relating this also to the fact, that there are also the members, or our Polish minister of agriculture, have rightly confessed in the media, that they did not know the provisions of this trade agreement between the EU and Mercosur. Undoubtedly from our point of view, where Poland is a large exporter of agricultural products, this agreement is very dangerous. It threatens not only

the food security

of our country, but also the security of food, because these raw materials will be transported over long distances,

and their production will be performed in different standards.

– As European farmers we will have wider competition, which does not finish on the same conditions play as we do. We have to care about ecology, and they already don’t – adds our conversant.

Pokorski runs a farm of about 120 ha. He grows beans, thistle and on 20 ha of sugar beet. This is the last grade, though that has been profitable in the last years, now is losing its importance. – We will end our import from Ukraine. U our price is already declining. For the season 2025/2026 it is talked about amounting to 33.5 euros per ton. And from Ukraine sugar is coming in much higher quantities than before the war despite so-called restrictions. constraints in the ATM framework. These in a moment will end. At the costs, which we have, with fewer and fewer opportunities to fight with measures to protect plants, and more pressure of victims, problems are growing. Ukraine is taking away our contractors in the European Union, such as Spain, Italy, where we exported a lot of sugar. It will be a problem, that we will not have, where to sell sugar. My opinion, in Ukraine may be more difficult for us than trade with Mercosur countries, which have sugar cane and they will be able to us without any duty – a farmer believes.

From the harvest year 2024 there is still in storage some wheat. Residue has been sold earlier. He does not calculate for subsidies, and even considers that there will be. As he says, when he will need cash, then sell their overdue stocks and will not consider the surge on prices. Purchases of mineral fertilizers for this year have already been made earlier. It is supplied with production for spring.

– The Policy of European Union is goes to that the economy is in and worse condition. We are going backwards, instead of developing it is winding – the farmer stressed.
Questioned about whether the protest will really fulfill its purpose, because despite that the farmers were

going on the road, that finally in power in the EU we have the same people,

which on the standards from the beginning high Green Lad, the farmer admitted, that something

has changed in this issue slightly. It has successfully interested the widespread public, but among its friends also has many skeptics, about the purpose of organizing protests. There are some, who do not believe in this type of property and that has not appeared in Warsaw. He is of the different opinion.

Whether agriculture is the future of the young generation?

Szymon Toporek from the Western Pomeranian Voivodeship is still learning. His parents are farming, and he is deciding whether agriculture is his future. He helps as he can and from always this branch has fascinated him. But he has more doubt, whether to go in this direction.

– If this will go on, as it is going, will as the European Union will impose on us and this will

be directed, a

those will constrain us , that unfortunately we don’t know whether we will be

able to fulfill your children’s dream. Work on roles is something more than just a profession, that must be done with passion. I really think that I have a passion for agriculture, I want to do it, but don’t know, whether it will be given. Will will we get that to pay? Will I not have to re-engineer after the re-engineering, such as at this time also many farmers must after just adjust – says pictorially Szymon Toporek.

As one of the major problems of today agriculture sees on the so-called papierrology. papierrology, meaning the fact that the farmer doesn’t just have to know how to produce, cultivate, so that it would be profitable, but he also must remember to meet other

bureaucratic requirements. He is also fearful of the lack of plan for the future.

– Generally a farmer

is a profession very unpredictable. We live and work under the so called cloud, so
