The incident took place in Höllmannsried in the Kirchberg commune in Lower Bavaria. The farmer was driving a tractor with a trailer loaded with cattle silage when suddenly a man jumped on the tractor. When the tractor driver stopped, the intruder broke into the tractor's cab and punched him in the face multiple times, reports the Bavarian Agricultural Weekly. After everything was over, the attacker got into a car left behind the tractor and fled.
The farmer suffered serious injuries. He was taken to hospital with a broken nose and other head injuries. The police began searching for the perpetrator, but that same evening he called the police station and confessed. He is a 33-year-old resident of Iggensbach. He said he had lost his patience and could not stand the tractor driver's "driving style".
The police are continuing their investigation to determine exactly what happened. According to unofficial reports, the attacker was a taxi driver who attacked the farmer because he was afraid to pull over with his trailer to the side of the road to let it pass him. The perpetrator will be held accountable for assault.
