A worried reader wrote to the editorial office of the Bublik portal, believing that her experience of buying and interacting with the exotic fruit should be shared with everyone, thereby, perhaps, saving someone from unpleasant consequences. “I bought cacti in the grocery department of the Solaris store at a discount for €1.99. There was a promotion on them on Saturday,” the reader of the portal began her story. “Yes, they were not tasty, but that was the batch that was delivered, that’s not the point… The problem is that they are covered with microscopic needles. The entire surface of the cactus is strewn with needles that are practically invisible to the eye. They are so small that it is impossible to avoid injuring your hands when peeling the fruit. After interacting with the cactus, I had the impression that I was crushing glass wool. For two days, the needles, like splinters, were on my hands, I could not wash them off.”
