Exclusive: Frasers Group restructures digital team, 45 jobs at risk

Frasers Group is restructuring its digital team based in London as it looks to relocate the department to its head office in Shirebrook.

The Sports Direct owner launched a consulation period for 45 employees on Friday (26 July), however, it is understood that not all staff will be made redundant.

It comes as the retail group looks to move its trading digital team to its Shirebrook HQ in Derbyshire. It follows the news that it put 100 jobs under consultation back in April when it revealed plans to close its Trafford office in Manchester.

The FTSE 100-listed firm posted an adjusted pre-tax profit of £544.8m in the year to 28 April – falling at the top end of its guidance range of £500m to £550m and up from £478m the year before – despite a 0.9% dip in total sales to £5.53bn.
