On Friday, a draft amendment to the Excise Duty Act was made available on the website of the Government Legislation Center. It assumes "realization of excise tax rates on tobacco products, innovative products and liquid for electronic cigarettes, and taxation with excise duty of devices used for vaporization of liquid for e-cigarettes and innovative products"
How much will we pay for a pack of cigarettes in 2025?
The ministry's analysis shows that the retail price of a pack of 20 cigarettes in the years 2025-2027 will increase by approximately PLN 2.7-3.1 per year. In the case of smoking tobacco, the price of a 50 g pack is expected to increase by approximately PLN 7.8-8 per year. The estimated increase in the price of a pack of heater refills (innovative products) will be approximately PLN 1 per year, and in the case of liquids for electronic cigarettes, the expected increase in the retail price of a 10 ml spare container is PLN 4.4-5 per year.
