According to Eurostat, the European statistical service Eurostat, in the third quarter of the year prices for housing in Estonia dropped by 0.5 percent compared to the previous quarter.
In
year-on-year prices for housing in Estonia increased by 6.4 percent, which is 0,3 percentage points fewer than in the second quarter of the last year, Eurostat reported.
Compared with the second quarter of 2024 year housing prices in the second quarter the quarter before the year increased by 1,4 percent in the eurozone, and in the European Union (EU).
Annual growth was 2.6 percent in the eurozone and 3.8 percent in the EU.
Of the Eurostat EU member states for which Eurostat has data, prices increased in 22 of these and fell in four.
The largest decrease was in France by 3.5 percent. Finland and Luxembourg were 2.8 and 1.7 percent respectively.
The most price increases in Bulgaria – by 16.5 percent, in Poland by 14.4 percent, in Hungary – by 13.4 percent, in Croatia – by 12.3 percent and in the Netherlands by 10.3 percent.
In the quarterly calculation prices for housing decreased only in two EU member states: in Estonia by 0.5 percent and in Finland by 0.6 percent.
In the quarter prices increased in 24 countries, with the mostA significant increase was 3.9 percent in Bulgaria, 3.7 percent in Portugal and 3.6 percent in the Netherlands.
