The highest annual inflation was in Romania – 5.8%. In Belgium it was 5.4%, in Hungary – 4.1%, in Poland – 4%, in the Netherlands and Estonia – 3.5%. Annual inflation in Lithuania was 1.1%.
In June, annual growth in consumer prices was recorded in all EU countries. In the EU as a whole, annual inflation was 2.8%, in the eurozone – 2.6%.
Compared with June of this year, consumer prices in the EU rose by 0.1% in July, while they remained unchanged in the eurozone.
In Latvia, as in Sweden, consumer prices in July increased by 0.1% compared to June. Monthly inflation was recorded in 18 EU countries, with the highest being in the Netherlands and Denmark (1.3%), and the highest monthly deflation was recorded in Italy – 0.9%. In Lithuania, consumer prices fell by 0.1%, and in Estonia, as in Ireland and France, they increased by 0.2%.
