European gas storage facilities are 91 percent full, and the price of gas on the exchange has fallen by almost ten percent in a month. The question is: will this lead to lower gas prices for consumers in Estonia?

In August of this year, it was reported that underground natural gas storage facilities in Europe were filled to an average of 80 percent, which meant that the lower limit of the plan to provide Europe with gas in the event of a complete cutoff of gas supplies from Russia had been exceeded. Earlier, the European Union had undertaken an emergency plan to reduce dependence on Russian gas in connection with Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
