The new Climate Law states that in order to increase the production of renewable electricity, public tenders must be held, in which contractors will offer the lowest price. The law also states what the state will support – offshore wind farms, none of which currently exist. In the explanatory note, politicians wrote that they want to receive two terawatt hours (TWh) of electricity from offshore wind farms. There were also costs for electricity consumers: 130 million euros per year, a total of 2.6 billion euros over 20 years.
