The engineering company SAMI, which operates throughout Estonia, is closing one of its three production facilities as part of its reorganization and is laying off 17 workers by the end of the year. According to the Unemployment Insurance Fund, last week only one company notified of the upcoming collective layoff. This is the manufacturing company AS SAMI Tootmine. The company plans to lay off 17 people because it is closing its production unit in Otepää. AS SAMI Tootmine is a subsidiary of AS SAMI, a mechanical engineering company with more than 30 years of experience. While SAMI grupp employed 160 employees in Saue, Otepää and Valga, SAMI Tootmine employed 119 people in the first quarter of the year.
