Fishing company PRFoods AS posted a loss of 2.8 million euros on sales revenue of 17.1 million euros in the financial year ending in June this year. A year earlier, the company's profit was 330,000 euros on sales of 19.6 million euros.
Although sales revenue in the financial year decreased by 13 percent compared to the previous year, turnover in the fourth quarter increased by 12 percent compared to the same period last year, amounting to almost 4.5 million euros. The growth was largely due to the strengthening of the Saaremaa production unit's position in various markets, PRFoods reported to the stock exchange.
In the second half of the financial year, the structure of the group changed – the Saaremaa fish company Redstorm OÜ left it. Currently, the main activity of the company is the development of production units in Estonia and the UK.
