Well-known sporting goods retailer Hawaii Express is closing its store in Viljandi. Board member René Kuusing explained that the store closure only concerns Viljandi. "Due to the current less than rosy economic situation and the relocation of the manager who has managed Hawaii for many years to Viljandi, we are forced to consider this chapter closed," he said. The first Hawaii Express store opened in Viljandi in 1999.
