Retail chains that will not have the right to independently install RuStore are afraid of financial losses. The Association of Trading Companies and Manufacturers of Household Electrical and Computer Equipment (RATEK; includes DNS, Huawei, Citylink, etc.) sent a letter to Deputy Prime Ministers of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko and Dmitry Grigorenko with a request not to support the adoption of this initiative. The document indicates that if the document is adopted, retail chains will not be able to sell Apple gadgets, will suffer financial losses, and at the same time, gray sales will increase on the market.

The letter specifies that the seller himself does not have the right to pre-install the marketplace, so the bill will also affect some Android devices that do not pre-install RuStore, which could lead to the closure of a number of electronics retail chains in Russia.
