Social Democrat Evgeniy Ossinovsky, the mayor of Tallinn, asked the state for 300 million euros to build a hospital in Tallinn. According to Fatherland Deputy Mayor of Tallinn Karl-Sander Kase, this is too little, and according to Kristina Kallas, vice-chairwoman of Eesti 200, which is leading coalition negotiations, this is too much, writes ERR.

According to Evgeny Ossinovsky, only 850 million euros need to be allocated for the construction of the hospital. Therefore, Osinovsky suggested that the state could invest in the construction of a hospital in the amount of 300 million euros.
Kristina Kallas, vice-chairwoman of Eesti 200, said that her party does not support the allocation of public money to the Tallinn hospital.

Currently, there are two hospitals in Tallinn – Ida-Tallinn and Lääne-Tallinn Central Hospitals, which are managed by two separate companies owned by the city. Most hospital buildings are decades old.
