The general business climate indicator on a monthly basis (according to seasonally unadjusted data) improved in 5 industries, worsened in 2, and did not change in one in comparison to June this year. The greatest increase was recorded in information and communication – the indicator increased from 8.9 in the previous month to 11.1. In turn, the largest decline is visible in accommodation and catering (from 11.4 a month ago to 8.1 currently) – analyzes the National Chamber of Commerce.
On an annual basis, indicators improved in most industries. The largest increase (from minus 1.5 in July last year to 8.1 currently) occurred in accommodation and catering. Indicators (slightly) worse than a year ago were recorded only in information and communication (from 11.2 a year ago to 11.1 now).
According to the July survey, 4 industries (3 months ago) – information and communication, finance and insurance, accommodation and catering, wholesale trade – record a positive level of the general economic climate indicator (not seasonally adjusted). This means that in the indicated industries, the percentage of entrepreneurs expecting an improvement in the economic situation in the next three months or observing such an improvement outweighs the percentage of entrepreneurs expecting a deterioration.
In July 2024, the economic climate indicator (not seasonally adjusted) for individual areas of the economy was as follows:
