Duty free shops at Dubai Airport have started accepting rubles. Payment for purchases in this way has become possible since August 1 in most airport stores. A representative of the Dubai Duty Free company reported this to TASS .

The representative clarified that Russian currency is not yet accepted in one of the terminals of Dubai International Airport due to technical difficulties. The airport also began accepting cards from the Chinese payment system Union Pay issued in Russia. At the same time, cards of the Russian Mir system do not work in duty-free stores.
You can purchase goods in duty free at the rate of 32.26 rubles per 1 dirham. When paying with a Union Pay card, the cost of 1 dirham will be 25.19 rubles.
