The company, founded in the mid-90s, became famous for its unique three-wheeled car, the Carver One, which attracted attention thanks to its Dynamic Vehicle Control system, which allows the car to lean into corners like a motorcycle.
Carver previously faced financial difficulties and declared bankruptcy in 2009, but later managed to resume its operations. Six years ago, the company again attracted attention by launching a new series of electric city three-wheelers using the same unique tilt technology.
According to the Leeuwarder Courant, Carver had been experiencing financial problems for some time. Declining production and sales, high costs and supply chain problems led the company to collapse.
