The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade announced the results of control and analytical activities based on the results of the first half of 2024. Since the beginning of this year, more than 1,800 objects have been inspected.
The main focus in this activity of the department is aimed at checking compliance by business entities with the legislation on trade, public catering and consumer services for the population, as well as the availability of a wide range of domestically produced goods for sale, including the “borscht” set.
Over 1,350 objects were subject to monitoring under this point.
Also, much attention is paid to the protection of consumer rights and compliance with the requirements of sales rules when carrying out distance trading (online stores, websites, social networks).
Here, checks were carried out on more than 170 Internet resources.
In addition, subjects were inspected in the areas of ensuring the norms of legislation on public procurement of goods, works, services (120 objects), organizing the work of public catering facilities in educational institutions (90 objects), compliance with trade legislation, as well as rules for the functioning of markets (25 markets ).
Based on the results of monitoring, 1,034 recommendations were issued to business entities that violated the law to eliminate the identified violations, and 247 orders to prohibit the sale of expired goods (sales).
Based on the facts of violations, 525 guilty persons were brought to administrative responsibility, the amount of penalties amounted to more than 57 thousand rubles.
For the first half of 2024, 22 inspections were scheduled: 18 random and 4 unscheduled.
558 officials, 213 legal entities, 68 individuals, and 43 individual entrepreneurs were brought to administrative responsibility in various areas of control activities.
As part of monitoring the price situation, since the beginning of MARCH 2024, violations have been identified in 159 business entities. Based on these facts, 78 orders were sent, 81 officials, 44 individuals, 40 legal entities, 12 individual entrepreneurs were brought to administrative responsibility (the amount of penalties, taking into account materials from previous years, amounted to more than 1.3 million rubles).
It is also noted that, as part of control, the regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee have carried out control and analytical activities in relation to more than 2,500 objects since the beginning of this year.
Based on the results of monitoring, 1,389 recommendations were issued to business entities that violated the law to eliminate the identified violations, and 128 orders to prohibit the sale of expired goods (sales).
Based on the facts of violations, 177 guilty persons were brought to administrative responsibility, the amount of penalties amounted to more than 12 thousand rubles.
As part of the interaction of MART with regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee, 4 joint inspections were carried out, the results of which covered 16 retail facilities and public catering facilities.
Control activities in order to protect the interests of consumers remain one of the department’s priorities.
