Drunk tractor driver, Ursus without a wheel

Traktorzysta pijany, Ursus bez koła

The incident took place on the provincial road No. 137 in the town of Pieski, Międzyrzecz poviat, Lubusz Voivodeship. One of the rear wheels fell off the tractor pulling the trailer. Witnesses alerted the police because although the tractor driver was not injured, his vehicles blocked the road.

The 54-year-old driver of the Ursus escaped from the collision without injuries, but the police smelled alcohol on his breath. The man blew almost 2 per mille of alcohol into the breathalyzer. It also turned out that the tractor was in poor technical condition and was not allowed to drive on public roads.

"The police detained the driver's driving license and informed him that the case was being referred to court. He now faces a penalty of up to three years in prison, heavy fines and a driving ban for driving a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol." – we read in the communiqué of the Lubuskie Voivodeship Police Headquarters.
