The Dolce&Gabbana fragrance for dogs is called Fefé and does not contain any alcohol. It was inspired by the poodle Fefe, the beloved dog of the brand's owner Domenico Dolce. According to the description on the company's official website, the fragrance combines "fresh and delicate notes of ylang-ylang, musk and sandalwood" and comes in a green lacquered glass bottle with a paw covered in 24-karat gold.
Fefé perfume can be applied directly to the dog's body – avoiding the nose area. Another way to use it is to spray it on the owner's hands and then brush the pet or rub the scent into the dog's fur.

Dolce & Gabbana stressed that its new product is certified as safe for pets by the Safe Pet Cosmetics program. But the scent has still raised some concerns among animal welfare groups and experts, who warn that the perfume could seriously affect a dog's sense of smell.
"Dogs rely on their sense of smell to communicate and interact with their environment, and with the people and other animals in it," RSPCA senior scientist Alice Potter said in a statement. "We therefore advise avoiding products with strong scents, such as perfumes or sprays, especially as some smells can be really unpleasant for dogs."
