WTO rejected the applications of Indonesia and Malaysia
The question was whether the EU would comply with the law, if from 2030 , in accordance with the plan, will not recognize biodiesel from Indonesia for renewable biofuel. EU justifies this with the imposition to stop deforestation for plantation of oil palm. Indonesia and Malaysia claim this is for distortion of trade and in conjunction with the EU.
In the case of Malaysia the arbitration tribunal WTO has already issued in March 2024 . rule for the benefit of the EU. Both countries supply almost all the world’s demand for fuel and biodiesel from fuel oil.
Similar to the complaint submitted by Malaysia, the Indonesian arbitrators followed the complaint, that some aspects of new regulations EU j violate rules of WTO.

based on the risk of emissions of planted gases. One of the mediators distanced from the majority opinion and wanted to give
Indonesia the right.
