This increase was due to the increase in the number of Dino Group employees from 39,427 as of June 30, 2023 to 45,274 as of June 30, 2024, due to the increased scale of the Dino Group's operations and the related expansion of the Dino store network and growing sales in existing stores (LfL) as well as the increase in the average salary in the Dino Group.
The challenging situation on the labor market may adversely affect the operations of the Dino Group
Dino operates in a sector characterized by relatively high employee turnover. Low unemployment in Poland, accompanied by high competition for store employees between entities operating in the retail sector, may result in increased employee loss by Dino and problems with recruiting new employees. In addition, these factors may result in increasing pressure on the growth of wage costs. The occurrence of the above-mentioned circumstances may have a negative impact on the Dino Group's operations, financial situation, results or prospects.
As of June 30, 2024, the Dino chain consisted of 2,504 stores with a total sales area of 987,398 sq m.
