At the same time, average salary offers for new employees in the sales segment increased by 20%. Earlier, photographs appeared in the media from various cities in central Russia with empty shelves in Pyaterochka stores. The X5 Group press service reported that difficulties with supplying goods to stores are associated with a seasonal shortage of workers at the retailer’s distribution center in the Yaroslavl region.
As Gubanov said, in the sales segment in July 2024, compared to the same period last year, the average salary offer for new employees increased by 20% and amounted to 52,422 rubles per month for a full-time job.
“Across Russia, there is a steady increase in the number of vacancies in retail and wholesale trade – the sector ranks sixth in the number of advertisements from employers on the Avito Work platform,” the expert said.
Thus, in the first half of 2024, employer demand for merchandisers increased by 72%, and the average salary offered by 23% (47,303 rubles).
