Cooking sets. The new e-service wants to conquer all of Poland

The "Yesha – jesz fresh" company was established during the lockdown and delivered groceries to customers throughout Poland. After the market boom for e-grocery corrected, the company began to look for new directions of development. While online trade in essential products has slowed down, the food delivery market is still developing. Yesha operates at the intersection of both these e-commerce segments.

Preparations to create a new version of the Yesha brand began in July 2023. In August, the concept was created, a month later a set of culinary recipes, and before the end of the year, the website was created and test sales were launched.

Taking advantage of the customer base that has been built for four years, as well as the developed network of suppliers, logistics and technological resources of Megasam24 and Polskikoszyk.pl, in the spring of 2024 the sale of dishes under the slogan 'you eat fresh' started in full swing. Now Yesha is able to deliver products throughout Poland.

– So far, we have allocated approximately PLN 1 million for the development of this project, and our investment plan includes three times this amount. By the end of this year, we want to sell 3,000 meals per month, and by December 2025: 5,000 sets per month. This should be the moment for us to achieve profitability by the end of 2026, with estimated annual revenues of PLN 3-4 million, says Kamil Broda, president of Yesha and creator of the "Yesha – jesz fresh" brand.

The author of the recipes is chef Yesha, who is also a chef in one of the restaurants in Poland. In addition to the taste of the dishes, the recipes must take into account the logistic process, ease of packaging and the simplicity of preparing them at home by the customer.

– For the average price of one dish in food delivery, we provide products to prepare a meal for two people. Currently, Yesha dishes can be ordered via Megasam24 and Polskikoszyk.pl e-shops and at the same time do grocery shopping for one delivery price. In addition, a dedicated platform will be created on the Yesha website this year, comments Kamil Broda.

Yesha's menu is constantly evolving. Currently, there are about 90 items, including Polish cuisine, world cuisine, vegan cuisine, pasta inspired by Italian cuisine and soups. At the turn of May and June, new sets appeared on the menu: sushi, 'fit' and East Slavic cuisine. The plan also includes a children's menu.

What do customers buy most often? These are beef burger with bacon and cheddar cheese, pork meatballs with mashed potatoes and carrots, minced cutlet with potatoes and beetroots, gai pad med mamuang from Thai cuisine, and among vegetarian dishes: chili sin carne.

Yesha was founded by CEO Kamil Broda in May 2021. The company is co-owned by VH Invest AG – an investment company operating in a formula similar to a Family Office, rooted in the wind energy sector, in which it began operating under the Vortex Energy brand (sold in 2022). In addition to wind energy, it also invests in agriculture and energy. It has been active on the Polish market for 18 years and has so far invested approximately EUR 15 million in Poland. Currently, in addition to Yesha, VH Invest is developing projects in Poland such as BioVege (agriculture), ProdMa (agricultural machines), VH Aviation (logistics) and Fabryka Energii (photovoltaics).
