In July, both current and future consumer sentiment deteriorated
Household sentiment in the third quarter of 2024 deteriorated for the second consecutive quarter, according to data from the Institute of Economic Development of the Warsaw School of Economics. The IRG SGH Household Condition Index decreased by 1.8 percentage points and currently stands at minus 17.7 points.
Household Sentiment – Balances and Their Changes
Compared to the previous quarter, two components of the indicator have deteriorated: assessment of the financial situation of the household and assessment of the general economic situation. Fears of unemployment have slightly decreased, and the forecasted propensity to save has increased.
