
In Latvia full-scale work on the construction of the main track of the Rail Baltica project could be be beginning in March or April of the current year, said agency LETA representatives of the responsible for the
Rail Baltica project in Latvia Eiropas dzelzceļa līnijas (EDzL). The representatives of EDzL noted that in the winter period the construction of the main highway is planned to focus on the supply of construction materials. Construction work will begin with construction of a construction site and a temporary regional office approximately 10 and half kilometers from the
center of Jezava, in the direction Varpas or Baldone, approximately one kilometer from the state local road Jetsava-Baldone-Daugmale (V9). Prepare construction site preparation to demarcate the construction area and set up a temporary regional office. Mobilization of construction equipment at the site is planned in the nearest time when construction of the access road begins. In the next winter, when

reported that in an area about about 16 hectares of the need to check for explosive materials. Also on the territory are homes and business buildings, the demolition of which is planned to be conducted by March. Commenting on the question about when the necessary mineral materials will be delivered to the site, the EDzL explained that the work to create the base for
the siteis scheduled to begin in March of this year. By the first, until April, when more scale construction work begins, the increase in intensity of the traffic will be significant: to the construction site will take up to 10 trucks per day on one route. The EDzL noted that the
construction site of the main route will be made as an embankment, which will be approximately the same height as the planned Main Route Rail Baltica. The work will include the construction of the construction of culverts, the replacement of soil and the creation of an embankment over 16 hectares. As reported, in December 2023 the EDzL
and the full partnership E.R.B. Rail JV contracted for the construction of the main Rail Baltica route for an amount of 3.7 billion euros. The Component of E.R.B. Rail JV includes French company Eiffage Génie Civil, Polish Budimex and Italian Rizzani de Eccher. private investments for the construction of rail infrastructure either from Upeslejas to the Central Bail Riga, or from Misa to Riga airport. According to preliminary estimates, for the construction of the Upeslejas – Central Transportation station will require 629 million
euros, for the construction of the Misa – Riga airport – 924 million euros. But the first priority tasks of the first order Rail Baltica are construction of the path from the border with Lithuania to the border with Estonia and completion of the
