An intensive expansion of the warehouse space belonging to Colian Logistic is underway in Kostrzyn Wielkopolski. Investment has a purpose to increase the operating capacity of the company, and also adapting infrastructure to growing market needs.
After completion of the work the warehouse space will increase to over 16 thousand m sq. , which will significantly affect the efficiency of the distribution center’s operations. The general contractor of the whole project is the WPIP Construction company.
The current investment includes construction of a new warehouse with a area of approximately 6.2 thousand m sq.ft. The building is constructed in one of 12 branches of Colian Logistic, located in Kostrzyn Wielkopolskie. The hall will be equipped with modern technologies in to increase energy efficiency and provide comfortable conditions of use.
Modern and more environmental storage
The facility will implement intralogistic system VNA (Very Narrow Aisle) with Very Narrow Aisle corridors, characterized by high capacity and high utilization rates. The key elements will be photovoltaic panels and heat pumps. They are to be responsible for heating, as and cooling the whole building and provide temperature controlled.
Thanks to the solutions, the building will be more friendly to the environment, which will fit into the global
trend for sustainable development. After the completion of the investment, scheduled for the first quarter of this year, the distribution center in Kostrzyn will
become one of the key logistic points of Colian Group.
