August was no surprise. In line with forecasts, the market prices of eco-pea coal rose again. The main producers and most distributors decided to raise the prices of their assortment from PLN 50 to PLN 100 per ton.
PGG and PKW increase prices for coal and eco-pea coal in August 2024
In PGG, the prices of bagged eco-pea coal are PLN 1,550/t + PLN 250 for delivery. The exception is Karolinka eco-pea coal, the price of which has been increased to PLN 1,750/t, and the courier delivery costs must be added to this – emphasizes the JakiEkogroszek.pl expert.
PGG ended its Spring Discounts 2024 promotion at the end of July this year. Of course, the August PGG Active Customer promotion has started, but the discounts reducing the prices of PGG coal and eco-pea coal will only be available from March 2025.

Południowa Koncern Węglowy (formerly Tauron Wydobycie) also increased prices for its products by an average of PLN 40 per tonne.
Currently, the cheapest eco-pea coal, JARET Plus, can be purchased for PLN 1,400 per ton, and to this you have to add about PLN 200 for the delivery of the assortment from PKW – adds the JakiEkogroszek.pl expert

The cheapest eco-pea coal can already be purchased at an average price of PLN 1,500 per tonne, including delivery costs, in August this year.
For example, for such eco-pea coal as Jowisz from Atex we will pay PLN 1,515/t including delivery. In turn, when buying Standard eco-pea coal we will pay PLN 1,349/t, and for Optimum eco-pea coal it costs PLN 1,399/t. Both assortments are from Zalkar – emphasizes the expert JakiEkogroszek.pl

Most producers of eco-pea coal offer their assortment in the price range of PLN 1,600-1,700/ton in August. And to this we have to add the delivery costs.
