The Agricultural and Food Quality Inspection in Gdańsk issued a decision banning the placing on the market in Poland of a batch of
linden honey imported from China. A shipment containing 20,880 kg of honey was blocked due to the "presence of an prohibited metallic taste," the statement reads. The decision was made immediately enforceable.
The inspectorate in Gdańsk issued a similar decision for two parties
basmati rice with a total weight of 24,500 kg, imported from India. In this case, the ban on sales in Poland was due to the lack of appropriate labeling in Polish.
In turn, a shipment of herbs from Egypt, which was inspected by IJHARS inspectors from Poznań, was questioned for too high a water content. A batch of dried basil weighing 5,265 kg could not reach our market and the ban was made immediately enforceable.
