Galeria Katowicka's turnover is growing
Galeria Katowicka recorded an 8% year-on-year increase in turnover between January and June. The highest increases compared to last year were achieved by the following sectors: Entertainment, Food and Beverage, and Health and Beauty. The best month in terms of sales results was February 2024, when turnover increased by 18% year-on-year.
In the first half of 2024, Galeria Katowicka was visited by over 7.6 million customers, which is a result 2% better compared to the same period in 2023.
New tenants in Galeria Katowicka
In the first six months of 2024, 21 lease agreements were signed with a total area of over 2,300 sq m. Five new brands appeared among the tenants – Lindt, The North Face, Gorąco Polecam, Subway and Lego, which decided to open its first flagship store in Silesia in Galeria Katowicka . The opening of the store with an area of over 370 sq m is planned for the beginning of October this year.
16 current tenants have decided to extend their lease agreements for another period, of which 5 have expanded their occupied areas. Among the brands that have joined Galeria Katowicka for the coming years are Pandora, BNP Paribas, Burger King, KFC, Pizza Hut, Starbucks, Tescoma and Inglot.
What do we know about Galeria Katowiecka
Galeria Katowicka is located in the very center of Katowice. The leasable area of the facility is 47,609 sq m and includes over 200 premises, restaurants and retail outlets. Galeria Katowicka also has a 10-screen Multikino with an Xtreme hall – the most modern in Poland, equipped with a Dolby Atmos sound system and a 4K laser projector. The shopping center is directly connected to the train station and the underground bus terminal of public transport.
Galeria Katowicka was opened on 18 September 2013 and is owned by a large institutional fund. Savills IM is responsible for the asset management of Galeria Katowicka. APSYS Polska is responsible for the management, daily operation of the facility and issues related to the lease of retail space.
