Charging an electric car in 15 minutes. A new zone has been created in Warsaw

Ładowanie elektryka w 15 min. W Warszawie postała nowa strefa

– The green zone that we launched in Warsaw is another strategic place equipped with our electric chargers, after the Wielkopolska Motorway. We are creating infrastructure that not only meets, but even exceeds the expectations of modern users of electric vehicles. Our advantage is also that the energy that we supply to our charging stations comes 100% from renewable sources of Polenergia – says Piotr Maciołek, Member of the Management Board of Polenergia SAPolenergia eMobility sp. z oo

A hub of fast charging stations at the Blue City Shopping Center in Warsaw

The hub consists of three direct current (DC) charging stations and two alternating current (AC) stations with a total capacity of almost 1 MW. This allows for the charging of 8 electric vehicles at the same time.

The scope of the investment at Blue City goes beyond the installation of charging stations. The Green Electromobility Zone, in addition to the hub of fast charging stations, has also been equipped with a rest area with greenery and benches. One of them was made from materials recycled from a wind turbine. The zone is a space intended for drivers and their families, who can use it while charging their vehicles.

Polenergia eMobility is responsible for expanding Polenergia's electric vehicle charging network. The stations are powered by electricity in the Energia 2051 standard, which comes from renewable sources belonging to the Group.

Opening of the Green Electromobility Zone in Warsaw

During hours when overproduction of electricity from renewable energy sources reaches its peak, Polenergia eMobility offers price reductions for charging station users.

The fast charging stations in the newly opened hub were supplied by a renowned manufacturer – Siemens Sp. z o. o., which specializes in innovative solutions for charging electric vehicles. The technology used in the hub allows for ultra-fast charging, among others, thanks to liquid-cooled cables (HPC), as well as optimization of energy use, which translates into the efficiency of the entire system.

– The Siemens chargers with an individual power of up to 300 kW installed in the Warsaw hub are the first solutions of this type in Poland. They enable ultra-fast charging of electric vehicles in just 15 minutes. This is roughly the time it takes to drink a coffee or use the toilet. We are currently delivering over 30 stations of various power to Polenergia. We are proud to participate in this groundbreaking project, which contributes to the development of electrification of Polish road transport. Our products are manufactured within a controlled chain of environmental resources. Such a process supports our partners in fulfilling their obligations related to ESG – emphasizes Mariusz Kondraciuk, Director of the Smart Infrastructure Industry, Siemens Polska.Polenergia eMobility sp. z o. o.
