On the eve of the long-awaited holiday the research center rabota.by conducted a survey among 1692 employees of Belarusian companies to find out: what they expect in the New Year from their employer, whether they want to celebrate the holiday with colleagues and what is the primary attribute of the New Year.
It turned out that 46.1% of the surveyed plan to go to a New Year’s corporate party this year, 35.6% will not go, 16,6% – – have not decided how to be, and 1.7% – have chosen the option “other”
In the research specialists of the site rabota.by find out why slightly more than a third of surveyed employees of Belarusian companies don’t want to attend New Year’s corporate event in this year.
It turns out that the most popular reason is the desire to spend more time with family. The respondents also explained their rejection by they didn’t want to spend money, they didn’t like the format and the program of the party, they feel
uncomfortable at large events, or they don’t have relationships with coworkers. Also one of
the reasons is personal plans, which cannot be transferred to an other time.
According to results of a survey 38,5% of respondents prefer a banquet in a restaurant for a holiday in a circle of coworkers, 36.1% are going out of thecity, to an estate, 13.4% – a soul sitting without a program and artists, 7% of respondents would want
to participate in a raffle of gifts, and 4.1 percent think that it’s enough to congratulate
coworkers at work and go home.
According to the participants of the survey the most important thing at corporate is the opportunity to have a party at the corporate.to communicate with colleagues in a non-working atmosphere, tasty food and drinks, and also interesting program.
Corporate doesn’t always go exclusively at the cost of the company, and more than half of respondents (58.6%) take this as normal. Another 20.3% of respondents think this is wrong, but are ready to participate financially if necessary. And only 19.6 percent of respondents would rather refuse to attend the holiday, than would pay for it.
The majority of respondents (82.9%) would want to receive a monetary premium for the New Year from the employer, A quarter of respondents count on good and useful gifts, every fifth respondent wants to certificates
to SPA, fitness, entertainment. 14.6% of respondents hope to receive sweet gifts for children.
The least popular options are branded souvenirs (9.2%), and candy, fruits and champagne (5.9%)
66.3% of surveyed employees of Belarusian companies confessed, that they want to see New Year decor at the workplace, as the decorations create a holiday atmosphere and raise the mood.
The main attribute of the
New Year is a fir tree, 82.4% of respondents said. The second place is mandarins (42.6%),thethirdisfamilytraditions(29.8%).
The majorityofsurvey respondents(78,4%)will celebrate theNewYearathomewiththefamily,36.6%plantogotorelativesandfriends,15.5%aregoing tovisitplacesofpublicwalkingandseethefireworks.
8.1 percent ofrespondentsconfessedthattheydidn’tplantocelebratetheNewYear,while3.8 percentofrespondentswillworkonNew Year’snight.
