The first stores in the joint project of the companies will open already in late 2025 year in medium and large railroad stations in France, where today there are no distant supermarkets. In further the number of such points will be adopted to 150. It is expected that these small stores will become a symbiosis of supermarket and point of delivery of orders, and their main customers will be passengers wanting to quickly shop on their everyday trips.
In the project the stores in train stations and stations will open under the Carrefour brand and occupy from 80 to 400 square meters. The company also plans to test two new concepts: Potager City – fresh fruits and vegetables, and Api – a self-service store. Presentatives of the network noted that the new project will be part of the growth strategy of the company, which aims to expand the network of step stores.
