A tragic accident occurred on provincial road no. 943 in Jaworzyce, in the Istebna commune in the Silesian province. An Opel Astra collided with an Ursus tractor transporting hay. As a result of the accident, one of the participants died in hospital – the police report.
According to investigators, the 21-year-old Opel driver was driving towards Jasnowice with two passengers. On a bend in the road, the woman was blinded by the sun and ran over a tractor traveling in the same direction, in which there were three people in total.
All six people involved in the incident sustained injuries and were taken to hospitals. One of the passengers in the tractor, a 40-year-old resident of the Istebna commune, died despite the efforts of doctors. The 21-year-old driver of the Opel was sober.
