Burberry has named former Gucci CMO Jonathan Kiman as its new chief marketing officer, who is due to step up to the plate on 9 September.
Kiman previously held a number of senior roles at the rival luxury fashion brand in Milan over a tenure of ten years. Before serving as Gucci CMO, he held the role of senior vice president of brand, strategy and marketing.
Prior to his time at Gucci, the executive served as chief brand officer of Italian fashion retailer Versace.
Under his new role, Kiman, who replaces Rod Manley as Burberry’s CMO, is set to lead the retailer’s global marketing team, reporting to CEO Joshua Schulman.
Additionally, Burberry, which was recently demoted from the FTSE 100, has appointed former OTB North America CEO Laura Dubin-Wander as its new president, Americas, who joins the brand from today (4 September).
Dubin-Wander will be responsible for leading Burberry’s operations in the Americas, having previously worked in a number of senior roles, including as the president for Coach North America, vice president of Christian Dior Couture, and president of Givenchy.
