Record exports in 2024 year
Brazilian pork exports achieved in 2024 year new record volume and sales, despite declining turnover in China. This is evidenced by statistics recently presented by the Brazilian Protein Animal Association (ABPA). Brazilian exports of fresh and processed pork increased volumetrically by one tenth in 2024 , reaching a new record of 1,352 million tons. Volume sales increased by 7.6 percent, to 3,033 billion dollars, which also stands as a new record.
Philippines the new major importer
There has been a change in the ranking of major customers. Philippines has replaced China on the top list. According ABPA, this was partly resulting from the fact that the PRC reduced volume of purchases by 38 proc. to 241 000 ton. In the same time Philippines, where from 2024 years Brazilian companies are gaining wider access, doubled their purchases to 254 300 ton. ABPA with optimism looks
at exports of pork until 2025 year. There is the possibility of new growth.
