The probability of infection from feces is very low

The study concludes that the probability of an animal disease entering Dutch livestock housing via airborne fecal particles is very low. Calculations show that such an event should occur on average every 455 years.

In addition to the total number of poultry farms and the length of the bird flu season, the model also takes into account parameters such as the spread of airborne particles and the immunity of virus particles.
